Perhaps no location is more suited to Wyland Galleries than Disneys Polynesian Hotel. Opened in December 2000, the gallerys marine life sculptures and paintings by such artists as Wyland, Walfrido, Coleman, and Mackin are the perfect companion to the lush tropical island landscapes of the resort. Fine jewelry designed by Wyland is placed throughout the wooden cases in the back of the gallery along with a wonderful Polynesian collection of the royal family of Hawaii. The gallery is located in the lobby on the ground floor, adjacent to the resorts central waterfall, with easy access to and from the hotel by Disneys monorail line. The monorail line stops directly in front of the hotel for convenient transportation and easy access to the gallery.
